Department of Geography
Established in 1991, the subject is
limited up to BA 2nd year only. A good
number of students opt for Geography The
results of the students are extremely
good.
Remedial,
Bridge and Enrichment classes:
Every year remedial, bridge and
enrichment classes are arranged for the
students. Learning gaps, areas of
concern, concepts that need special
understanding etc are traced and
students like wise are guided. The chief
objective is to help students comprehend
the subject in a better light and bridge
the gap between learners.
Certificate
course in Nursery Development:
Certificate
course in Nursery Development is
conducted for the students. This course
helps students to understand more about
growing and maintaining good quality
plants, growing plants in open
environments, protecting plants from
pests and insects etc. Classroom
seminars and group discussions are
conducted for the students. This helps
them to develop analytic skills and
proper communication.
Project work, educational tours, surveys
etc are undertaken by the students as a
part of practical training. Project
work is mandatory for students of B.A /
B. Com / B.C.A II year. The project is
related to any aspect of the
environment. Students are enthusiastic
and perform wholeheartedly in all
activities. Every effort is done to help
students understand more about the
environment, geographical conditions,
preventing pollution, ways towards a
greener earth etc.
