Padmashali Shikshan Sanstha's A. R.
Burla Mahila Varishtha Mahavidyalaya,
Solapur, is recognised as one of the
best educational institution catering to
the academic needs of girls especially
from the Padmashali Community.
The motto of the college being
'Empowering Students Through Education'
inspires all the stakeholders towards
making it a reality.
The college is known for imparting
quality education for more than 3
decades. The college has been awarded
with B++ by NAAC and with 'Excellent'
grade by the University Academic and
Administrative Audit Committee.
The entire Staff work relentlessly
towards the holistic development of the
girls and making them responsible
citizens. Students have proved their
worth time and again thereby making us
proud.

Students have earned meritorious
places in University exams

They participate in research based
activities and are awarded for their
research presentation at the
University and State levels

In Sports, our students have left a
mark at the University, State and
National levels especially in Yoga,
Fencing and Archery. Every year our
girls win prizes at the University
level Yoga competition. Efforts are
being taken to train them in martial
arts ( Ghatka). Students have been
trained in Judo and Taekwando

They participate in Youth festivals
and other cultural events at various
levels and win prizes.

Every year, our students contribute
to the annual magazine Padmapratima
and are awarded for their literary
and creative skills at the
University level
.

Students participate in Extension
activities through NSS and reach out
to the society.
In today's age of globalisation, mere
academic knowledge will not suffice. The
present time calls for creativity,
rational thinking, productivity and
quality enhancement. Students can be
empowered only through skill development
and every effort is taken in equipping
them to face life's challenges.
The college runs 28 certificate courses
and an Employability & Skills
development centre which trains students
at various skills. Students are
motivated to become entrepreneurs, start
their small scale business and become
economically independent.
Employment opportunities are provided
through placement/personal contacts
and various corporate companies that
visit our college.
Memorandum of Understanding and
collaborative programs with various
organisations/ institutions, NGOs etc
provide ample opportunities to our
students to showcase their skills &
talents and emerge as responsible
citizens.
Our Alumni are placed at prominent
positions in every field like
administration, education, industry,
police department, state govt offices,
small scale business etc

development and progress of the college
